Letter from September 18 "Friday the 13th"

Heyooooo people!!!

I'm going to be real, this week was a TOUGH one for me. But thats okay! Before I left Jen Vawdrey told me I'd have the highest highs and the lowest lows and I've really seen that haha. I only have one more P day here in the CCM and that is SO crazy to me! What a ride this hs been!

On Friday the 13th we were playing volleyball with some Elders and Facey came down and BOOM BYE BYE FOOT! She tore some tendons or something and of course I was laughing my head off because she fell but then i felt bad when she couldnt walk so that was an oops! But we decided we would all work 120% and I felt like we would see a miracle. and GUESS WHAT! Faceys back on her feet and we saw a miracle! It was amazing! God really blesses missionaries people.

There are these chocolate bar things here called Kinder bars and I am like in love with them and we hadn't  had them for a bit so I was getting a little worried we wouldn't have them anymore, BUT then they pulled them out for lunch! Another miracle! So I did what any good missionary would do, With the help of my friends I shoved 30 of them into my bag and snuck them home! Thats what I call a miracle people.

On a real note, being a missionary is hard! Living with 6 girls is hard! I feel inadequate most days and fall short every single day. But I've learned so much about relying on the Savior and I finally have a little bit of patience! I've been trying to see miracles everyday because I truly believe they come every single day.

One thing that really helped me this week was my friend Hermana Cole. She lives in my apartment and we hit it off instantly! This week we cried together, listened to hymns together, laughed together, read scriptures together and became closer. I really know that God has put people in my life to help me and Hermana Cole is one of them. She was a huge blessing.

The other sisters in my apartment and I have become really close this week and Hermana Bascom was a huge helper when I needed my 30 kinder bars. She also has Nutella and pretzel goldfish. MIRACLE. We play a game called ripple and we always cheer each other on, what a woman.

Also I got sick this week so that was fun! But guess what? I got to take a nap! MIRACLE

My favorite part of this week was something called TRC. We got to talk with recent converts and share a message with them! I was so so SO scared but the second we talked to Hugo, I was so happy! The Spanish just came and I could not stop smiling. He was just the cutest little man! BEING A MISSIONARY IS SO FUN! I just kept saying Hugo I love you, I really do! He was probably so freaked out but I couldn't stop thinking that he was a son of a loving Heavenly Father and I got to remind him of that. It was awesome!

God is SO good my friends. The Book of Mormon is true. Christ stands with open arms waiting to recieve and heal us. I'm thankful for the healing arms of the Savior and His tears that have matched mine. I want to be a missionary forever, the work NEVER ends and I'm just getting started! I love you all! Find a miracle this week!

MISSIONARY!

HI EVERYONE! I'M A MISSIONARY!!! I want to keep my emails really real because I want to be able to look back one day and remember that this was all real and so you guys can understand how missionary work really is.  Tuesday was super hard because I had to say goodbye to my family. There is literally nothing harder than that. The flight was like SO long hahaha. The longest five hours of my entire life and I'm not even kidding. I slept for some of it but mostly was just kinda like "what in the world am I doing?" we got here and the airport took forever and then we came to the CCM! It is so beautiful here and people love to shoot each other hahah I hear gunshots like all the time it is so classic.  Wednesday was the hardest and longest day of my life. We wake up at 6:30 which is insane and work all day. I was doing okay in the morning and then I just wanted to go home. I was SO homesick and had a total breakdown. it was HORRIBLE. I told my branch president I ...

REMEMBER HOW IM AN ARGENTINE NOW???

Hi everyone!!! IM IN ARGENTINA!!!! I got here really early on Tuesday morning and then life just got real haha. Im in an area called Zarate, it is so poor and humbling, I have never seen anything like this in my life. This week was literally so cold haha I wore tights and sweaters and a coat everyday, but now its warming up so im so happy about that! Let me tell you about my area. I walk on dirt roads all day and see cement houses. We visited an investigator this week who lives in the craziest house I have ever seen. It is like so so tiny and just cinder blocks and cement. She has 4 kids and her niece is living with her so they have 6 people in their tiny house. Oh and 5 dogs like everyone else. I just cried because I wanted to hold the kids and tell them I loved them. When they kissed me on the cheek, I dont think I've ever been happier.  We have an amazing investigator named Melina. We have her baptism interview tonight and I am so excited! She is so amazing...
