REMEMBER HOW IM AN ARGENTINE NOW???

Hi everyone!!! IM IN ARGENTINA!!!! I got here really early on Tuesday morning and then life just got real haha. Im in an area called Zarate, it is so poor and humbling, I have never seen anything like this in my life. This week was literally so cold haha I wore tights and sweaters and a coat everyday, but now its warming up so im so happy about that! Let me tell you about my area. I walk on dirt roads all day and see cement houses. We visited an investigator this week who lives in the craziest house I have ever seen. It is like so so tiny and just cinder blocks and cement. She has 4 kids and her niece is living with her so they have 6 people in their tiny house. Oh and 5 dogs like everyone else. I just cried because I wanted to hold the kids and tell them I loved them. When they kissed me on the cheek, I dont think I've ever been happier.  We have an amazing investigator named Melina. We have her baptism interview tonight and I am so excited! She is so amazing...

Email from September 25, "I'm a graduate!"

Hey everyone!  I can't believe it, but I'm leaving to serve my cute little Argentines in FIVE DAYS and I'm feeling every emotion in the book! I'm scared because Argentina is really far and I've never been there. I'm excited because I'm a missionary and get to teach people about the best thing in the world and share the wonderful message of the restored Gospel! Please keep me in your prayers this week and more importantly my little Argentines. I want to teach everyday until my feet fall off!  This week was pretty much the same as the last one! We found these super funny rain jackets at the tienda here that are really big and kinda look like graduation gowns haha. We all bought one and had a fake graduation for our CCM experience hahahah. Facey and I try and predict if it will rain everyday because we think wearing our jackets is the funniest thing ever!  I am getting so sad about leaving my district and the girls in my apartment. We've had so ...

Letter from September 18 "Friday the 13th"

Heyooooo people!!! I'm going to be real, this week was a TOUGH one for me. But thats okay! Before I left Jen Vawdrey told me I'd have the highest highs and the lowest lows and I've really seen that haha. I only have one more P day here in the CCM and that is SO crazy to me! What a ride this hs been! On Friday the 13th we were playing volleyball with some Elders and Facey came down and BOOM BYE BYE FOOT! She tore some tendons or something and of course I was laughing my head off because she fell but then i felt bad when she couldnt walk so that was an oops! But we decided we would all work 120% and I felt like we would see a miracle. and GUESS WHAT! Faceys back on her feet and we saw a miracle! It was amazing! God really blesses missionaries people. There are these chocolate bar things here called Kinder bars and I am like in love with them and we hadn't  had them for a bit so I was getting a little worried we wouldn't have them anymore, BUT then they pul...

Week 4 - Merry Christmas President Nelson!

Hi everyone!! I can't believe it's already another week has gone by! I feel like my emails are just going to be boring because we do the same thing here all the time haha. It's fun though! Being a missionary is great!  This Sunday was really cool! Sundays here are a little bit weird because we still have a lot of classes which is different but I look forward to going to church every week! This week Hermana Blatter and I taught relief society and it was such a cool experience. We just wrote down questions and I told everyone they could either participate and we could have a good lesson or we could sit in silence jajaja. Thankfully, everyone participated and the Spirit was just so strong. That night President Garcia pulled me up on the stand and I had to speak for a bit at a devotional. It was a cool experience and him and his wife keep telling me they wish they could adopt me jajaj. Ill send a picture of them today!  Monday I was SO happy because we went to the store...

Week 3 - The Week of Gigz

HEY MY PEOPLE!!!!  Guys, let me tell you something. BEING A MISSIONARY IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD. GOT IT?? It is so fun. Its so hard, like so hard but it really is the work of God and I'm humbled that I have the opportunity to serve a mission.  Okay so last week I mentioned that I was having a really hard time with my district. After P day on Wednesday, I really didn't want to see the elders like at all. But we witnessed a miracle! There was a group of our elders sitting in a circle talking and for some reason I started listening to them. They were talking about one of the elders girlfriends and how he felt like she was his first convert. The spirit was so strong and I went over there just crying to them telling them how awesome they are. All 12 of us got in a big circle and started talking about why we were on missions. THE SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG! oh my gosh I just bawled. We were all bawling and just felt like brothers and sisters. I love them so much and I am so ...

MISSIONARY!

HI EVERYONE! I'M A MISSIONARY!!! I want to keep my emails really real because I want to be able to look back one day and remember that this was all real and so you guys can understand how missionary work really is.  Tuesday was super hard because I had to say goodbye to my family. There is literally nothing harder than that. The flight was like SO long hahaha. The longest five hours of my entire life and I'm not even kidding. I slept for some of it but mostly was just kinda like "what in the world am I doing?" we got here and the airport took forever and then we came to the CCM! It is so beautiful here and people love to shoot each other hahah I hear gunshots like all the time it is so classic.  Wednesday was the hardest and longest day of my life. We wake up at 6:30 which is insane and work all day. I was doing okay in the morning and then I just wanted to go home. I was SO homesick and had a total breakdown. it was HORRIBLE. I told my branch president I ...
